Today we celebrate the birthday of a trumpet player and vocalist who just happened to be one of the most influential musicians of not just the Big Band Era but the whole world of Jazz itself - Louis Armstrong. Louis was born on Aug 4, 1901 in New Orleans, Louisiana.
